Actress Tara Reid is a perfect example of why you need to make sure you have an excellent plastic surgeon. Tara Reid had botched breast implant surgery which also disfigured her nipples. By accident one of her breasts and nipple was showing and photographers took photos of her disfigured nipple and breast. Photos of her and her disfigured nipple were plastered on the Internet for everyone to see. This completely devastated Tara Reid as it would anyone.
Not only did the same plastic surgeon botch Tara Reid's breasts and nipples but she had a body contouring procedure performed which also was botched. She ended up with a hernia and her stomach looked like it had a rippling effect and it was bulgy-appearing. More photos are on the Internet for proof of this botched surgery.
Tara Reid did end up doing a lot of research to find a new plastic surgeon to have both botched procedures fixed. For one year she also ended up seeing a therapist to gain her confidence back.
When searching for a plastic surgeon make sure you have references from the doctor, see before and after photos of surgeries the plastic surgeon has done and that you feel comfortable with the plastic surgeon. Make sure the plastic surgeon listens to your requests. Tara Reid's surgeon did not listen to her when she wanted a large size B breast implants. The surgeon chose to give Ms. Reid a size C. It is imperative that you and your plastic surgeon are on the same page with the results you want to have in the end. Make sure the doctor listens to you, after all it is your body and you are the one paying to have the surgery done. Plastic surgery is not cheap and when surgery is done for cosmetic reasons, you are paying out-of-pocket as most insurance companies will not pay for cosmetic surgery. If you end up with a botched surgery or surgeries, not only will you pay for that, but you will have to pay again to have another surgeon fix the botched surgery.
Look to see if the plastic surgeon is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery. You will know that the doctor had to spend years of education and training to become Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Make sure the Board Certified information is correct as there are other educational training ways a doctor can become Board Certified that is not the same as being certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Check to see how many surgeries the doctor has done before you hire him or her to do your plastic surgery. Finding the right plastic surgeon for you takes time and effort but it is worth it.
